The company is well positioned with a strong balance sheet, a high, diversified income flow, and real opportunities to grow income. In May 2011 Hansteen successfully raised £150 million by way of a fully underwritten Placing and Open Offer, significantly increasing the Group's acquisition capacity.

During 2010 Hansteen approximately doubled its portfolio by acquiring £460 million of property in ten transactions of which £289 million was invested in Germany and £171 million in the UK (including £84 million invested by the HPUT). At 30 June 2011 the value of our property portfolio (including HPUT) was £863 million.
