Graduate Property Surveyors

We are often looking for talented property surveyors who have recently completed a RICS accredited Real Estate Bachelors / Masters Programme or industry equivalent in Continental Europe.

We look for dedicated, responsible and conscientious graduates with a deep rooted interest in property asset management.  We will set you to work on your own individual industrial portfolio where you will work autonomously and gain valuable experience first-hand whilst being supported and mentored by some of the most experienced Asset Managers in the business.

The role fully encompasses the responsibilities of an Asset Manager and, as you grow your skills and demonstrate capability, the larger your portfolio will become. We operate a meritocracy and will support potential and provide challenges along the way. Our graduate role offers a unique insight into a growing and developing company and will expose you to boundless networking opportunities.

You will be responsible for marketing your own portfolio and therefore you will need to establish a detailed and local knowledge of your area quickly. You will have to draw upon your entrepreneurial ability to improve occupational take up and develop long lasting relationships with your tenants.

We expect that the all-round experience that our graduate role offers will lead to the successful completion of The Assessment of Professional Competence (APC). Although you will have exposure to valuation, we will send you to one of our Property Valuer’s for a two week secondment in order to sign off on the all the assessment criteria.

Our Asset Managers have all experienced the APC Assessment and are on hand to provide advice and mentorship. We will organise mock assessments and panel interviews, but the will to study is driven by you. We currently have a 100% first time pass success rate.

We are looking for confident and natural communicators, ideally with a minimum of one years’ industry experience, preferably in commercial or industrial property.

You’ll work hard, often putting in extra hours so you will need to be driven to succeed. If this sounds like the type of challenging career you’ve been looking for, please email your CV to

We have established networks with some of the UK’s top universities and actively endorse their aims to share industry expertise, enhance the employability of graduates and support international development. We offer a limited number of summer and placement year internships.

We are currently looking for German speaking undergraduates with an interest in property to support a team of Asset Managers throughout the German property portfolio. Due to the international nature of the role we can only employ candidates who are fluent in both German and English.

Our interns work amongst the most experienced Asset Managers in Germany. We'll set you to work on your own individual industrial portfolio where you can gain valuable insight into what it takes to be an Asset Manager.

Our internships offer a unique insight into a growing and developing company. You will work at grass roots and see exactly what it takes to be successful. You will experience a variety of cultures and backgrounds across Europe and develop a skill set beyond the text book. Our internships are a unique opportunity to develop strong ties that could benefit your career in years to come.

At the end of your internship, we will talk with you about next steps. If you have performed well, shown maximum potential and you continue to achieve academically, we will be in touch about permanent opportunities.

It takes time, effort and commitment to progress at Hansteen but you will have a world of opportunity open to you; we are an international company, the world is your oyster. If you are hardworking and driven we will support you every step of the way.
