Hansteen Holdings PLC is a property company formed by Morgan Jones and Ian Watson the founders and former directors of Ashtenne Holdings PLC (“Ashtenne”). The company is AIM listed.

The company focuses on investing in industrial property in continental Europe. It also seeks to profit from opportunistic acquisitions in other property sectors and will invest in the UK property market as value returns.

We are investing principally in Continental Europe and have acquired a number of assets to which we can add value through intensive management.

We invest where fundamental value exists. Continental European industrial investments have shown higher yields, cheaper financing costs and greater opportunity for value improvement through asset management than has been possible in the UK over the last two years.

Ian Watson and Morgan Jones founded Ashtenne in 1989 and from the foundation of the company to its sale in May 2005 it achieved returns for its shareholders in excess of 20 per cent per annum through the acquisition, intensive management and profitable resale of industrial property investments in the UK together with the implementation of a number opportunistic property transactions in the UK and Europe. Hansteens move into Europe has been timely. In the first two years at Hansteen the team has accumulated a PAN European portfolio of quality warehouse investments to the value in excess of €500 million and rent in excess of €40 million per annum.

Having raised £195 million we are now pushing ahead with our investment strategy. Investing principally in Continental Europe, we acquire industrial property to which we can add value through intensive management. We are seeking industrial property estates and units primarily in Germany, Holland, France, Belgium and other European countries where the opportunity looks particularly attractive. From 2008 we believe there may be opportunities to acquire in the UK at more advantageous prices than has been possible in the last few years.
